New Search: Twin Cities R!SE – Director of Business Development

On behalf of our client, Twin Cities R!SE, CohenTaylor Executive Search Services is conducting a retained executive search for their Director of Business Development.

The pathway out of poverty includes a job, yet for many people, multiple barriers can stand in the way of employment.

The Organization: Twin Cities R!SE (TCR) is an innovative poverty reduction organization that offers comprehensive work skills training for low-income adults in the Twin Cities area, assisting individuals in poverty on the path to long-term and stable employment. Work skills training prepares participants with the skills they’ll need on the job. Through internship opportunities, job search assistance, and employment placement services, TCR works with participants to find meaningful employment. Focused on long term results – with 81% of graduates staying at their jobs after one year – TCR’s 12-month job retention rates are nearly twice the national average.

The Role: Twin Cities R!SE seeks a Director of Business Development. The Director of Business Development is a new position that will oversee the marketing and sales of TCR employment services to employers in the greater Twin Cities market. Through this role, the Director will provide effective and inspiring leadership and organizational stewardship. Reporting to the President/CEO and serving as a member of the Leadership Team, the Director will develop and deliver a business plan focused on an expanded line of business. This plan considers the market opportunities, competitive landscape, customer requirements, and the portfolio of current and potential relationships needed to achieve revenue and profit margin targets. In this proactive manager-doer role, the Director oversees client engagement, generates ideas from clients, and engages with them on long-term, mutually rewarding partnerships.
