The Organization: The Minnesota Council of Churches (MCC) is a regional, state-level judicatory based council of Christian denominations. Providing significant leadership to the national ecumenical movement, MCC is comprised of twenty-five members, representing the regional governing and administrative bodies of mainline Protestant, Historic Black, Orthodox and Peace church judicatories. Through the Council, member denominations come to know more clearly God’s call to us and to our denominations to live out our faith in community.
The Mission: MCC is a nonprofit philanthropic organization whose mission is to support the ongoing work of the Minnesota Council of Churches. Through its prudent stewardship of memorials, outright contributions and planned gifts, the Foundation provides resources to sustain the Council’s mission across Minnesota.
The Role: The Chief Executive Officer of MCC is responsible to provide for the general oversight and implementation of the purpose of the Council as articulated in the Articles of Incorporation and as interpreted by the Board of Directors. The CEO will provide: Strategic Direction, Constituency Development, Governance, Program Oversight and Development, Staff Oversight and Human Resource Management, Financial Oversight, Facilities Management, Fund Development, Communications and Public Relations.
