Home is the foundation for everything in life. That’s why it’s been CommonBond’s mission since 1971 to offer quality, dignified affordable housing and life-changing support services. A nonprofit organization, CommonBond serves over 11,000 families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities in more than 6,000 affordable rental apartments and townhomes throughout 50 cities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

An agile and collaborative leader, the EVP of Housing & Services will lead and manage the implementation of an integrated approach to the housing and services functions that supports a consistent and positive resident experience and maintains the quality of their homes. With a passion for CommonBond’s mission, the new EVP will ensure that these functions are delivered in a manner that is respectful and responsive to residents and elevates the importance of resident experience, with the goal of contributing to resident stability and independence. The new EVP will excel in operational and strategic leadership as they work closely with CommonBond’s Executive Team to ensure that the resident-facing functions of the organization are scaled as the organization grows.

As the face and voice of CommonBond’s housing and services, we are seeking a highly relational and authentic leader to serve as the EVP of Housing & Services function. Adept at building and sustaining meaningful connections, the EVP will excel at developing excellent relationships with key stakeholders and current/potential partners of the organization. An innovative leader, the new EVP will work to ensure CommonBond is a shaper of and contributor to solutions that address the most urgent housing and services-related needs of society and individuals. An eager, continuous learner with a desire to be at the forefront of driving meaningful change, the new EVP will network nationally with a goal of strengthening the non-profit housing & services industry.

An undergraduate degree, along with a minimum of 15+ years’ experience in progressive leadership roles which demonstrate a knowledge of business imperatives as well as the principles and practices of the property management, social services or related fields, particularly in a mission-driven context is strongly preferred.
