The Amherst H. Wilder Foundation announced the appointment of Armando Camacho as President and CEO, ushering in the next chapter for the longstanding Saint Paul nonprofit organization.

Effective July 1, Camacho will become the seventh President in Wilder’s 114-year history, leading the organization’s work to provide services to support mental health, housing stability, early childhood development, and healthy aging for thousands of people each year throughout the Greater Saint Paul community. Camacho comes to Wilder with a wealth of experience, including serving for the past six years as President and CEO of Opportunity Partners, one of Minnesota’s largest nonprofit organizations providing job training, employment and residential support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Prior to his role at Opportunity Partners, Camacho served as President of Neighborhood House, where he led a strategic redesign and expansion of programs to better support the housing, education, wellness and basic needs of the Saint Paul community.

“Congratulations, Wilder, on welcoming Armando Camacho as your next President and CEO. We can’t wait to see the impact Armando’s leadership will have in these unprecedented times,” said search leads Katie Erickson and Lindsay Polyak.
