You may have noticed us sharing our pronouns in introductions, our email signatures, etc. We are doing this to help create and normalize spaces that are inclusive and safer for all people, regardless of gender identity or gender expression. Including pronouns is a first step toward respecting a person’s gender identity, working against cisnormality, and creating a more welcoming space for people of all genders.
Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace can be complex and is critical to creating environments where all people feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves. Enabling conversations about gender pronouns and modeling the practice for others to follow is one step we can take to help ensure communications are inclusive and create safe and trusted spaces for all.
