On behalf of our client, Entrepreneur Fund (EFund), CohenTaylor is conducting a retained executive search for their Chief Lending Officer.
Born out of a need to diversify industry on the Iron Range in the late 1980s, EFund was created with one main purpose: partner with entrepreneurs to create thriving companies, vibrant communities, and an economically diversified, resilient regional economy. They did so with the core belief that entrepreneurs are powerful activators for community, social, and economic change while building wealth and jobs rooted in community.
As a certified Community Development Financial Institution, EFund is a part of a network of private financial institutions that are 100% dedicated to delivering responsible, affordable lending to help underserved people and communities access financial services.
The Chief Lending Officer (CLO) of EFund is a critical new leadership position responsible for overseeing the lending loan origination, mission alignment, and growth-strategy of the organization. The ideal CLO candidate will bring deep expertise in optimizing capital structures to support small businesses, strengthen community, and benefit lending partners.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership, management, and team development experience. They will bring deep expertise in commercial lending, credit, or financial services; preferably within a community bank, regional bank, economic development, CDFI or similar mission-driven institution.
Salary Range: $160,000 – $200,000 (plus up to a 10% bonus opportunity)
Location: Candidates must reside in Duluth, or within one of the 29 Minnesota and Wisconsin counties that EFund services. In addition, a regular presence in the Duluth office is required. This role will also include regional travel of roughly ~2 days per week, and occasional travel outside the region.
