With 59 homes, nine innovative apartment programs, and customized support services reaching nearly 1,900 individuals each year, the organization is one of Minnesota’s largest and most respected nonprofit disability service providers. Rooted in a legacy of compassion, dignity, and person-centered care, Hammer & NER continues to evolve to meet the needs of the people and families it serves.
The Chief Executive Officer will guide the organization into its next era of stability, innovation, and impact. Reporting to a dedicated Board of Directors and leading a strong executive team, the CEO will steward a $44M organization with 575 staff, ensuring operational excellence, financial strength, and a culture grounded in respect, inclusion, and opportunity. This leader will bring strategic clarity, relational depth, and the ability to navigate a complex, government-funded environment while championing the voices of people with disabilities across Minnesota.
Salary Range: $260,000–$290,000, plus a comprehensive benefits plan.
Location: Based in Wayzata, Minnesota, with regular presence across Hammer & NER’s Twin Cities locations. This is an in-person role with occasional evening and weekend commitments.
